Our Mission
Massachusetts volunteers working to elect Democrats and Progressives in Pennsylvania
We will continue to work remotely and in-state to turn Pennsylvania blue in upcoming elections. Our activists:

conduct letter and postcard campaigns;

text and phone bank;

fund print, radio, and digital ads; and
-
provide logistical support
for groups working in the rural red areas we need to resist the MAGA agenda and win to secure our shared values.
Our story: MA Flip PA
Living in the Massachusetts “blue bubble,” it’s easy to feel there’s little you can do to protect our democracy from a rapidly increasing number of far-right attacks. But what if you look further afield? Pennsylvania, the closest big (19 electoral votes) swing state to Massachusetts needs not only our financial contributions, but our time, talents, and political activism. By working to elect Democrats, not only at the Presidential and Congressional level, but at the gubernatorial, legislative, and county level, we help protect voting rights and the vote counting process against right-wing attack in this critical swing state.
That’s why we formed MAFlipPA, a Massachusetts-based political action group that connects 450+ Massachusetts residents with trusted Pennsylvania-based partners all working to elect Democrats and progressives to local, state-level, and national office.
Pennsylvania is the closest big swing state to Massachusetts. Only a four to seven-hour drive away lie major swing population centers ready for canvassing and other vital in-person work. Unlike many states, Pennsylvania voters elect both the legislature AND the judiciary. Both will be involved in shaping future congressional districts, adjudicating challenges to voter suppression laws, and affirming presidential election results.
We are continuing our efforts to elect Democratic and progressive legislators and judges in the state. We will not be silenced.

The leaders we're helping to fight for democracy in red, rural PA
Putting people first, the committee works to advance ideals expressed in the National and State Democratic platforms. Well-organized, active, and dynamic group looking for help to build the voter and volunteer base for 2026 mid-terms.
Swing Blue Alliance is the largest all-volunteer, Democratic grassroots organization headquartered in Massachusetts. In partnership with organizations in swing states, they develop evidence-based programs to protect our democracy, work on competitive local and national elections, and strengthen the Democratic Party at the grassroots level.
An exceptionally well-organized statewide group focused on the Pennsylvania legislature, they steer us to the close races where we can make a difference and provide phone banks and text banks for our volunteers.
Wayne County 4 Action fights for liberal and progressive values in a red, rural district through community organizing and outreach to its neighbors, whatever their political affiliation.
New chairwoman Tina Henninger is revitalizing this local organization to cut the MAGA margin of victory in this red rural district that is turning purple as newcomers move in from the Allentown area. We’re helping her with outreach to volunteers and new members.
Promote the Vote PA is a 501(c)(4) non-profit affiliated with Turn PA Blue. Among other work, it advocates for fair, accessible, modern elections and empowers voters with the information necessary to make sure their vote is counted; recruits quality candidates; and organizes, trains, and deploys volunteers to help with non-partisan voter education, issue advocacy, and voter mobilization.
The Schuylkill County Chair is pulling out all the stops to save or reduce the Republican lead in voter registration with innovative outreach efforts. MAFlipPA has an intern helping and can use more help!
Delco focus is on putting Pennsylvania issues first, fighting for families, seniors, students, and veterans, and working to elect Democrats across the state, while holding Republicans accountable across the board. In 2023, this revitalized county party added to a recent swing of successes by winning all the open countywide seats and gaining ground in typically Republican-leaning towns.
DVA, in heavily conservative northeast Pennsylvania, is a non-partisan community engagement organization formed in 2016. Its highly-motivated volunteers work with the local community to promote values such as a living wage, healthcare for all, quality public education, as well as justice, respect, and equality.
LDC works to promote Democratic principles and to grow the Democratic Party in the Lehigh Valley, the third largest metropolitan area in the state, and a critical area to win the Latino vote.
Chester County Marching Forward (CCMF) is a progressive, non-affiliated community group that works to engage, educate and motivate our neighbors to be active and informed voters and civic participants.
